Last Thursday a man named Curtis stopped by the track. He was inquiring about the possibility of getting local kids involved with track racing. He said that he's been working with youth programs in the local school district for some time now. Both Arrow and I gave him our contact information with the hopes that this contact could spur more local interest and support for track racing, while giving kids a focus and healthy use of time and energy.
It is my opinion that St. Louis' race community, wonderful as it is, could use an increase in diversity of race, gender, and class background, in order for it to be a more highly functioning community. So, whether or not this particular idea takes root, lets try and welcome anyone and everyone interested in racing. We all know how good it feels and how much fun we have, and sharing that can feel even better.

Lets have a blast racing tonight!

  3. Curtis stopped back last Thursday (7/14). Had a nice talk with him. Trying to get a bike together for him to take a spin around the track on, and hope to have it up there this Thursday (7/21).
